This small acrylic painting on panel by Matt Neuman begins with a spray-painted gradient color blend. A series of machine cut vinyl stencils are used to mask out additional layers of gradient color and form. Crisp, clean, and efficient, the interplay of graphic forms and spatial atmosphere provide space to find stillness, and the calm that comes with order. This piece is meant to be a place to breathe, away from time, for as long as one can spare.
